The Iron will begin their pre-season run of fixtures with a trip to local side Brigg Town CIC on Saturday, July 8th (3pm kick-off).

Jimmy Dean will take his new-look United side to the Hawthorns in the opening fixture of the schedule to put some match minutes in the legs following the first couple of weeks of pre-season training.

The first encounter will see a whole host of new faces pull on Scunthorpe United colours for the first time, giving fans the opportunity to see the likes of Danny Whitehall, Ross Fitzsimons, Tyler Denton and more for the very first time.

United opposition, Brigg Town CIC, currently play in the Northern Counties East division and will host the Iron for the first time since an academy side was sent in 2019 for a 2-2 draw. The first team travel to the Hawthorns for the first time in a decade when Etienne Esajas scored a hat-trick in a 7-1 victory.

Admission will be available on the turnstile, costing £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and £2 for under-18s.
