Seb Stockbridge has been appointed as the referee for Tuesday night's home League Two clash against Exeter City.
The Tyne-based official will travel to the Sands Venue Stadium for the 24th game of his season and his 10th in Sky Bet League Two. The current campaign is Seb's eighth in in the EFL.
He's taken charge of Scunthorpe matches on no fewer than 13 previous occasions. His last encounter involving United was ironically this corresponding fixture last season when the Iron won 3-1 at the Sands Venue Stadium in October 2019. Two of the three yellow cards on the night went to Scunthorpe players with Harrison McGahey and Yann Songo'o carded. He was appointed to take charge of United's home encounter against Salford City in October last year, but that game was called off due to COVID.
Of those 13 games, nine have come at the Sands Venue Stadium. In those previous games, he's shown a total of 51 yellow cards and one red.
Meanwhile, his involvement with Exeter City fixtures first came in April 2014 when he oversaw their 2-0 exit from the FA Cup away at Bury. Two yellows and one red were issued in the game. He's taken charge of the Grecians once since this corresponding match last season as the team won 1-0 at Salford back in December 2019.
He's taken charge of eight Exeter games in total, issuing 28 yellow cards and two reds.
In 2019-20, he took charge of 28 games, issuing 89 yellow cards and six reds. So far this season, he has refereed 23 games, shown 79 yellow cards and three reds.
On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Peter Gooch and Chris Ward, while Ross Joyce has been appointed as the fourth official.
