Craig Hicks will be the man in the middle for the Iron's away league clash against Cambridge United on Tuesday.
The Surrey-based official will travel to the Abbey Stadium for his 25th game of the campaign and eighth in Sky Bet League Two. The current campaign is Hicks' fourth in the EFL.
His first game of the campaign was in the Carabao Cup as he oversaw Leyton Orient's 2-1 away win at Forest Green Rovers. Meanwhile, he took charge of AFC Wimbledon and Hull City in League One at the weekend with the Tigers winning 3-0 at Plough Lane. One caution was issued.
Hicks has taken charge of just two previous Iron fixtures, the last coming in the home fixture against Sunderland when Adam Hammill netted a late equaliser. No cards were issued in that game, although he did dismiss Cameron Burgess in the previous fixture in a defeat at Southend United. That red card accompanied five yellows.
Meanwhile, he's refereed Cambridge United on seven past occasions. The last came against Cheltenham Town in November where he showed three cautions. It will be his first return to the Abbey Stadium since October 2018 but that and his previous four U's games all came on their home soil. In total, across the seven games, he's shown 11 yellows and one red - with the dismissal going to Cambridge's Jabo Ibehre.
In 2019-20, he took charge of 28 games, issuing 90 yellow cards and four reds. So far in this campaign, he has officiated in 24 encounters, showing 69 yellows and four red cards.
On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Daniel Cook and Aaron Farmer, while Paul Yates has been appointed as the fourth official.
