The Derbyshire-based official will travel to the LNER Stadium for his second game of the campaign, in what is his second season as an EFL official.

He was promoted to the National List at the end of the 2018-19 season and began his 2020-21 season with a Carabao Cup tie between Salford City and Rotherham United at the weekend. He showed just one yellow card in the 1-1 draw, with the Ammies going through to the next round of the competition on penalties.

In 2019-20, he took charge of 26 games, issuing 82 yellow cards and five reds. Two of those dismissals came in the only fixture he's been involved in including the Iron so far back in November 2019. He sent of United's Matthew Lund and Vale's David Worrall after the final whistle in a match won by Scunthorpe thanks to goals from Kevin van Veen and Kgosi Ntlhe.

Meanwhile, he's refereed the Imps twice, both of which at the LNER Stadium. He's shown seven cautions across the two games, with Lincoln winning both of them. He officiated in their group stage match against Rotherham United in the same competition last season.

On Tuesday, he will be assisted by Bradley Hall and Geoffrey Russell, while Matthew Dicicco has been appointed as the fourth official.
