The Iron Under-23s play their first game in over a month on Tuesday when they make the trip to face their Peterborough United counterparts in the Central League Cup (1pm kick-off).

The game will be played at Peterborough’s training ground. We will also have live text coverage on our Twitter feed, which can be accessed by clicking here.

The venue details are as follows: Mick George Training Academy, Oundle Road, Orton Longueville, Peterborough, PE2 7EA.

SCENE-SETTER

The Under-23 side's last match was against Mansfield Town in the same competition, with them defeated 2-1. Andy Dales scored the Iron’s goal on the day.

Since then, a Premier League Cup group stage game against Hull City was postponed.

Omar Sanyang, who has been out of action since August with a broken ankle and ligament injury, remains absent but Mason O’Malley is back in contention following an achilles injury.

A number of players who have been on the bench or on the fringes for the first team in recent weeks may play a part too.
