The Iron's Under-18s continue their Youth Alliance League campaign on Saturday, as they host Bradford City (11am kick-off).

Please note, in line with the current EFL COVID-19 guidelines, no spectators are permitted at these games.

SCENE-SETTER

The Iron bounced back from a Derby Day defeat a fortnight ago to register maximum points away at Rotherham United last weekend.

Joey Dawson continued his fine campaign in front of goal with a hat-trick, while Harry Lewis added another strike in the 4-1 win at Parkgate as the Millers continued their dip in form after topping the table only a few weeks ago.

The Bantams come into the game after no game last weekend.

The sides have already met this season, with the reverse fixture ending 4-2 to the Iron with Bradford ending the game with nine men.

The scorers in that game matched that of the Rotherham game last week, with Dawson getting a trebble and Lewis getting in on the act.

United are fourth in the division, but have as many as two games in hand over the teams above them, while Bradford are rock bottom having picked up three points out of a possible 24. A win could take the Iron to within a point of league leaders Burton Albion.

TEAM NEWS

The majority of the squad have all been able to feature in the last three games following their return to action following COVID-19 protocols.

The side do have a couple of injury problems with Ben Crosher, Ben Franklin and Alex Wilkinson all missing from the squad in recent weeks.

The Iron's Under-18s have also been forced have Under-15s and Under-16s in the group to supplement a smaller squad of scholars this season. The team had been back up to their full compliment of players up until the recent outbreak.
