Hallam looking for a big year

6 August 2020

Back for pre-season training, attacking midfielder Jordan Hallam is looking to make up for lost time in the 2020-21 season.

The highly-rated former Sheffield United man missed out on a lot of the last campaign through injury, making just one senior appearance, but has worked hard during the five months the players have been away to come back stronger and cannot wait for the big kick-off on Saturday, September 12th.

"I want to play as many games as possible and really kick on. Hopefully it'll be a big year," he told Scunthorpe-United.co.uk.

"I had a lot of injuries last year and never really got going, so in the time off I've used it wisely to get back as fit as possible."

Talking further about the enforced break due to COVIO-19, he continued: "I've been keeping myself ticking over fitness-wise at home but apart from that it's been a bit dull, with everyone in lockdown, but hopefully now we're back things will be better.

"It's been good (the first sessions), I've enjoyed it. Obviously it's been a long time but we're all glad to get back. We were eased in on Monday, doing a bit of running at the start and then a few technical drills to get on the ball again, but it will get harder as we go on."
