The Iron's Premier League Cup group stages fixtures against Hull City, Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion have now been confirmed.
The Iron overcame two qualifying rounds to make it into the competition proper, which now adopts a Champions League format, with six group stage games to take place, facing each team both home and away. The tournament comprises of eight groups of four clubs, with the top two teams advance to the knockout stage.
The side beat Shrewsbury Town Under-23s 2-0 at the Sands Venue Stadium before overhauling their Southend United counterparts 3-1 at Roots Hall to progress into the next stage of the competition.

As a result, the Central League fixture against Mansfield Town originally scheduled for Tuesday, January 21st, 2020, has been brought forward to Tuesday, January 14th, 2020.
