Nicholas Kinseley will be the man in the middle for the Iron's home league clash against Morecambe on Saturday.
The Essex-based official arrives at Glanford Park for his fifth EFL game of the campaign and his third in Sky Bet League Two.
His first game of the campaign was Walsall's slender 1-0 victory away at Northampton Town on the opening day of the season - a game in which he showed six yellow cards. Meanwhile, his latest match came at the end of August when he oversaw Exeter City's 1-0 home win over Mansfield Town. On that day at St James Park, he showed three yellows and one red, with the dismissal later rescinded.
He's taken charge of the Iron on just three previous occasions, most recently against Barnsley just over a year ago. That was his first visit to the Sands Venue Stadium, with four yellow cards shown in the 2-2 draw. In total, across the three games, he's shown six yellow cards and no reds.
Meanwhile, he's refereed Morecambe four times, most recently in April when Morecambe edged an away encounter at Cambridge United. Across the four games, he's shown 12 yellow cards and two reds. Those dismissals include an early straight red card for 'keeper Barry Roche back in 2016.
In 2018-19, he took charge of 24 games, issuing 74 yellow cards and two reds. So far in this campaign, he's refereed four games, showing 13 yellow cards and two reds.
On Saturday, Boyeson will be assisted by Wayne Grunnill and Joe Simpson, while Hristo Karaivanov has been appointed as the fourth official.
