The Iron can confirm that, as part of their pre-season schedule for 2019, the first team will be heading to Spain.
The trip will see the side based in La Manga between Sunday, June 30th and Saturday, July 6th as pre-season gets underway.
New manager Paul Hurst, his assistant Chris Doig and the rest of the backroom staff will be putting their players through their paces in the region of Murcia for the week just days after the team report back to Glanford Park.
It will be the first time that the Iron have ventured to Spain for pre-season since 2015 when the side were based in Marbella, with three successive visits to Obertraun in Austria succeeding that tour.
