The 25-year-old is getting to know the squad during the pre-season training trip to La Manga this week and the former Rochdale player is looking forward to battling for the left-back berth.
“I’m excited. There’s a challenge here and it’s clear to everyone what we need to do,” Ntlhe told Scunthorpe-United.co.uk.
“I had options elsewhere but the manager (Paul Hurst) showed good intent. I’ve played against his teams previously and they’ve always been good sides.
“The manager played a big part in me signing, and Scunthorpe were always seen by me as a powerhouse in League One. It was a shock that they went down, but that happens to teams every now and then. Playing against Scunthorpe was always a challenge and winning against them was seen as a very good win.
“Personally I’m going to take each game as it comes. We want to play well, win them and get promoted.
“I’ve met the boys, some of them are big lads. I know Harrison (McGahey) and Lundy (Matthew Lund) already too."
