The 28-year-old also played 60 minutes of the 2-1 win over Dundee in La Manga and tops the minutes played chart for the Iron squad so far as they gear up for the new League Two season.
Fresh from two successive wins, and the 4-0 victory at Bottesford for another Iron XI, the former Burton midfielder spoke about the importance of a winning mentality.
He told iFollow Iron: “It’s important having that from the start of pre-season, whoever we’re playing. (The manager’s) come in and brought a winning mentality, and energy to the training sessions and games. When you want to get up the leagues, you need that mentality every week.
“It’s good to get minutes as well, and to play 90 (on Saturday) was even better.
“I thought we played well (at Guiseley). We did some good things and should have scored more in the first-half, in which we had a lot of chances. We have to start sticking them away, but that will happen first day of the season.
“There were good aspects of the game, with lots of forward runs and pressing, which suits us. (That style of play) gives me licence to get forward and like to make those runs. In the first-half I had a couple of chances that I missed, and John McAtee fired one over, but it’ll come.”
Lund, whose season was disrupted by a knee injury last term, continued: “I feel fine and the manager’s giving me plenty of minutes to try and get me used to 90 every week. I’m enjoying it and feeling pain-free at the moment so I’m happy.
“I want to get as many minutes as I can to prove my fitness.
“I came in just before the season started last year so it’s nice to get a full pre-season here.”
