Both players conducted a talk in two groups of 30, giving an insight to how many languages they speak, how they learnt English and why it is important that they are multilingual.
Ojo, who is Belgian, explained that the country have three main languages - Flemish, French and German, while he also learnt English as well. Dutchman van Veen spoke about how he learnt English on the go after arriving at the Iron in 2014 not knowing much at all.
Both then gave a brief lesson to key words in their first languages including the translation for 'referee', 'midfielder', 'striker' and more. The duo also answered a number of questions including cultural and footballing ones.
The lesson proved to be a very worthwhile exercise for the 60 in attendance as they evaluate their options ahead of their GCSEs over the next two years.
