The Lincolnshire-based official will travel to the Sands Venue Stadium for his 23rd game of the campaign and his eighth in Sky Bet League Two.
He's taken charge of the Iron on 10 occasions in total, most recently in September when we drew 2-2 at home to Oldham Athletic, in which he showed ten yellow cards.
Of those encounters involving United, seven of them have come at the Sands Venue Stadium, so Thursday will be Drysdale's eighth appointment with the whistle at the stadium. In the ten games refereeing Scunthorpe, he's issued 40 yellow cards and no red.
In 2018-19, he took charge of 38 games, issuing 129 yellow cards and six reds. So far in this campaign, he has officiated in 22 encounters, showing 80 yellows and two reds.
On Boxing Day, Drysdale will be assisted by Wayne Grunnill and Paul Lister, while David Benton has been appointed as the fourth official.
