The 20-year-old central midfielder joined on loan from Nottingham Forest on Thursday, following an impressive half-season with League Two high-fliers Notts County.
ON THE MOVE…
RY: I’m absolutely delighted. Obviously, it’s a step-up for me. I’ve had a fantastic first half of the season at Notts County, but it’s time for me to take a risk and see how it goes. I want to better myself and take that step-up. It was fantastic at Barrow, that was my first taste of men’s football and it was tough. I’ve had a really strong spell at Notts County, who are flying and I have learned so much from, but I can’t wait to get going here.
ON HIS GOALS RETURN AT THE MAGPIES…
RY: I didn’t really score many goals in my previous two loans so getting six goals in my games is fantastic, and I want to carry that on here.
ON HIS TARGETS…
RY: We want to get promoted into the Championship and we’ve got to push for that. I’m only 20-years-old but want to start developing my game even more. I just want to work as hard as I can and get into the team. I want to better and test myself.
ON HOW HIS FIRST TRAINING SESSION WENT…
RY: It was really good, getting on the ball, the lads are great, there was a good vibe around the place and I really enjoyed it.
ON THE PROSPECT OF PORTSMOUTH AWAY ON SATURDAY…
RY: Unbelievable, what a first game. I can’t wait to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy it.
