This weekend sees Toney come up against his former side Northampton and the loanee is eager to put in a good performance.

Previewing the Cobblers game to iFollow Iron, Toney reflected on the Peterborough match and talk about his aims to find the back of the net again.

ON SCORING AGAINST PETERBOROUGH…
IT: I am happy to be scoring goals, but would have been even happier if we got the three points. We didn’t lose so that was the main thing. We will take the positives from that game and go into Saturday’s with a strong, positive mind.

ON THE RESULT…
IT: The lads had seen how the game was going and to be honest, we looked like the team that was going to score the next goal. It didn’t happen, so we will take the point away from home.

ON THE CHANCES BEING CREATED…
IT: We created a lot of chances and it is the striker’s job to be getting on the end of them and scoring goals.

ON WANTING TO SCORE AT GLANFORD PARK…
IT: Scoring goals is what I like to be doing, especially against a former club, so I will be excited to try and do that. I’m sure that they will have a game plan and we will have a game plan so it should be a good game. We will be working hard on the training pitch and getting on the scoresheet at home would mean a lot.

ON HIS STRIKE PARTNERSHIP WITH LEE NOVAK…
IT: It went well and he assisted me for my goal. We understood each other and we were very sharp. If that continues, I think it could be a good partnership. No matter who it is with, we will understand how each other play.

ON NORTHAMPTON…
IT: Any club can turn it around at anytime and anyone can beat anyone. If we go with our game plan and a positive mind, then I am sure we will get the three points we want.

ON HIS TIME AT NORTHAMPTON…
IT: It was a very good time there and they are a very good club. There were in a sticky patch. I push myself hard in every game, but I will be trying my hardest to get a goal this weekend.
