Madley to referee Millwall play-off clash

3 May 2017

Andrew Madley will take charge of the Iron and Millwall at The Den on Thursday night.

It will be the West Yorkshire official's 43rd game in the middle this season after enjoying the first campaign as a Select Group 2 referee.

The official has taken charge of two Scunthorpe games this season - a 2-1 victory over Middlesbrough U21's in the Checkatrade Trophy and the 2-1 away defeat to Bolton Wanderers on New Year's Eve.

He's also officiated two Millwall games during the campaign - a 4-0 win against Bristol Rovers and a 3-0 giant-killing FA Cup triumph over AFC Bournemouth.

In 42 games, Madley has shown 141 yellow cards, dismissing eight players, including one in his last match between Newcastle United and Preston North End where Paul Gallagher was sent off for deliberate handball.

Madley will be assisted by Adam Crysell and Robert Hyde, while Andrew Davies will assume the role of fourth official.
