Fixture release at 9am on Wednesday

20 June 2017

The Iron will discover their fixtures for the 2017/18 season on Wednesday morning.

The fixtures will be unveiled right here on at 9am on Wednesday (21st June) and, in addition to the Iron knowing their match dates, we will also have plenty of analysis and reaction too.

All three divisions of the EFL will kick-off their campaigns over the weekend of Friday 4th to Sunday 6th August.

The regular season itself will continue until the weekend of 5th May 2018, when the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League One and League Two will all come to a close.

The EFL Play-Off Finals will then take place on successive days at Wembley Stadium over a Bank Holiday weekend in May, starting with the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final on Saturday 26th May, ahead of the season finale for Sky Bet League One on Sunday 27th and Sky Bet League Two on Monday 28th May. The order of the Play-Offs has been reversed to assist with potential international call-ups ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

The festive period will be a busy one once again with full fixture programmes on Saturday 23rd December, Boxing Day, Saturday 30th December and Monday 1st January 2018.

Round One of the Carabao Cup will take place immediately after the season openers, with midweek slots on week commencing Monday 7th August and last week's First Round draw handed the Iron a home game against Notts County (which has since been confirmed for Tuesday 8th August).

The 2017/18 Checkatrade Trophy will begin towards the end of opening month, with the first round of fixtures scheduled for week commencing Monday 28th August.
