United host successful Golf Day 2017

The Iron held their annual Golf Day on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Gainsborough Golf Club.

The event teed off at 11am with a shotgun start following an arrival including tea, coffee and sausage and bacon baps for the guests.

Chairman Peter Swann and his team Will Swann, Jonathon Margetts and Lewis Butroid, teed off from hole one following the shotgun, with the course taking around five hours to negotiate.

Following the round of golf, all teams retreated to the Solheim Suite where a three-course carvery meal was served before the winners were announced.

Commercial Executive David Clay said: "Our thanks go to everyone involved, including Gainsborough Golf Club for their hospitality.

"Once again, we'd like to thank our sponsors who entered teams into the golf day, while we had further support via hole sponsorships which helped make the day a success and we hope they'll join us again for our annual event next year."
