Winger Hakeeb Adelakun is relishing his good form and is hoping that it’ll help to push him into the first team.
Adelakun played 23 times for the Iron last season and grabbed four goals. Already this pre-season he has bagged four goals and is impressively staking his claim for a place in the starting line-up this season.
In an interview with iFollow Iron, the 21-year-old stated his intentions for the season.
ON THE WIN AGAINST SV AUSTRIA SALZBURG…
HA: I think it was a good result and the team played well. We brought all of the fitness work that we’ve been doing into the game, which seems to have paid off as the team is looking strong. Everyone knows what we want as a team so we’re tackling it head on and it’s looking good for us.

ON HIS FORM…
HA: The main priorities have been to get fit and to get game time but the goals are always good to get. I’m hoping to carry that on into the season.
ON HIS TARGETS FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON…
HA: I want more minutes and more goals to hopefully help the team to get where we want to be and go one better than last season. 
ON TRAVELLING TO AUSTRIA…
HA: It was fun but I’m glad to be home. It’s been very hard work out there but I enjoyed it. It was good to get away and spend time in a different environment.
ON THE REMAINING PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE…
HA: I just want to get the season started. There’s only a couple of weeks of pre-season left so I’m just going to keep on going through that. I want to start the season well and hopefully carry that on throughout the whole season.
