The Iron can confirm the loan signing of Rotherham United central midfielder Richie Smallwood on loan until the end of the season.
Smallwood becomes Scunthorpe's second deadline day addition, with Harry Toffolo joining on loan rom Norwich City earlier on Wednesday.The former Middlesbrough trainee joined the Millers in 2014 after two loan spells, the 25-year-old has made in excess of 100 appearances for the side, scoring twice.
So far this season, he has made five appearances for Rotherham, including three full games. Last term he played a prominent part in their survival in the Championship, making 45 appearances in all competitions.
