Defender Scott Laird has signed for League One side Walsall on loan.
The 28-year-old joins the Saddlers until January and will be hoping to make his debut on September 10 when they visit Northampton.He signed for United from Preston in the summer of 2015 and has made 39 appearances in all competitions for Scunthorpe, scoring twice.
