Former Iron player Paul Harsley will be the guest speaker in the restaurant when the Iron host Eastleigh on Saturday, April 25th (12.30pm kick-off).

A hometown midfielder who rose through the lower leagues, Paul Harsley became a key figure for Scunthorpe United in the late 1990s, making over 120 league appearances after joining in 1997. Energetic and versatile, he played a crucial role in the club’s 1998–99 promotion campaign, even featuring at Wembley in the Division Three play-off final. His performances that season earned him the club’s Player of the Year award, underlining his importance to the side.

Harsley spent four solid seasons with the Iron, establishing himself as a dependable midfield presence before moving on in 2001. Though he later enjoyed spells across the Football League, his time at Scunthorpe remains notable as the foundation of his career and a period where he developed into a proven, hardworking professional.

He also worked as part of the club's academy in later years, returning to the side as Centre of Excellence co-ordinator in January 2011. He would leave following the 2014-15 campaign.
