Scunthorpe United Football Club is pleased to announce Julie Taylor has taken on the role of Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO).

Julie, a lifelong Iron supporter, steps into the role with a deep understanding of the club, and assumes the role from James Moody, who recently took on the General Manager position at the club.

Acting as a crucial link between the club and our supporters, Julie will serve as a point of contact for supporters to voice concerns and ideas while relaying club information back to the fan base, linking up with the Voice of the Fans group in order to drive and bridge the communication levels.

General Manager James Moody said: “The SLO position is a key part of our relationship with the fanbase, and it’s one that I’ve done for a number of years, responding to feedback, general emails from both Iron supporters and our opponents, amongst a number of different initiatives. It’s now time to hand that baton on, and we’re confident Julie will do an excellent job in continuing to build those connections.

“Julie was installed as our Fan Liaison Officer a few years ago, which was our non-club staff representative, initially in place to give an impartial view, and to be an outlet for supporters to go to someone not connected to the club. Since Julie thereafter became an employee at the club, we’ve also recently introduced our Voice of the Fans group, which becomes that non-club staff outlet.”

Supporters can email their queries and feedback toslo@scunthorpe-united.co.ukand they will be redirected to relevant departments, where necessary, or handled by Julie moving forward. Fans can also email voice@scunthorpe-united.co.uk to speak to any of our four Voice of the Fans representatives.
