Scunthorpe United can announce the acquisition of goalkeeper Kian Johnson non-contract terms.

Having trained with the Iron on a regular basis across the last two seasons, Johnson made multiple appearances for the club over the course of the previous two pre-seasons against Bottesford Town and App Frod.

Having come through the ranks at Doncaster Rovers at youth level, Johnson departed Rovers in 2020 after a 10-year stint with the club. He would then embark on a trail of local non-league clubs, spending time at Worksop Town, Rossington Main and most recently Gainsborough Trinity.

In between his spells with the Colliery and the Holy Blues, Johnson would spend time in the UAE with the recently restructured Dubai City, for who he featured for across two separate spells in the countries second division.
