Scunthorpe United completed the signing of midfielder Elliott Whitehouse following a successful trial period in July 2022.
The 28-year-old penned a one-year contract to become our second addition of the summer.
The Worksop-born player started his career at Sheffield United, for whom he made five appearances and captained the youth team that reached the 2010-11 FA Youth Cup final.
While with the Blades, he enjoyed loan spells at York City and Alfreton Town, before joining Notts County, making eight League One appearances while also going out on loan to Nuneaton Town.
After a brief spell at FC Halifax Town, it was Nuneaton where he scored 20 goals in 45 National League North appearances before Lincoln City swooped for his services in 2016.
While with the Imps, he made 77 appearances and scored ten goals during a two-year spell which included promotion to the EFL, an FA Cup run to the quarter finals and scoring the decisive goal in the EFL Trophy final.
Whitehouse moved on to Grimsby Town, where he made 38 appearances and scored three times before switching to Forest Green Rovers two years ago, for whom he played on 23 occasions and scored two goals.
After departing them this summer, he joined the Iron on trial a fortnight ago, subsequently impressing in training and two matches.
