Lewis Butroid signed a contract with the Iron in 2016/17 and the following campaign was his first as a professional.
He made his first team debut as a second-year apprentice at left-back against Middlesbrough U21's in the Checkatrade Trophy in 2016.
A local lad, he has been in the club's academy since the age of nine.
He plays at left back, but can also play at centre half. He made 11 appearances in all competitions during his maiden season in the first team squad, before a further 10 the next year.
2019-20 saw him make five first team appearances and he also enjoyed a successful loan spell at Spennymoor Town.
