A year later, he moved to Yeovil Town where he would really kickstart his career, making 98 appearances over the course of his two-year stint at Huish Park, scoring a total of nine goals.

His form while there prompted clubs from higher up the EFL spectrum to be interested, with Millwall becoming his preferred choice. Throughout his four-and-a-half year stay with the Lions, he made 100 league starts. In total, he scored eight goals in 137 appearances in all competitions.

During his tenure at the Den, he returned to the Glovers for a brief loan spell in 2015 where he made a further 14 appearances.

In total, prior to joining the Iron, he has made 375 career appearances, scoring 22 goals and also part of sides that have kept in excess of 100 clean sheets.
