Scunthorpe United is delighted to confirm that a trophy parade will take place on Friday, May 23rd with a short route around the town, culminating in a celebration at the Attis Arena as part of the Stadium Weekender.
Setting off the from the stadium at 5pm, a number of the players, backroom staff and colleagues from behind the scenes will aboard an open top bus which will follow the route as shown below, before returning to the stadium for the start of Friday’s proceedings.
The 11 mile route will take the bus up towards the town centre, with a route stopping briefly at British Steel, Central Park and John Leggott College before returning to the Attis Arena.
The Iron players and staff will be on the stage at the event too, with Friday’s Stadium Weekender event now focused on a celebration following the side’s 2-1 victory over Chester on Sunday to return them to the National League Premier Division.
We’re kicking off the Stadium Weekender in style, and we want you to be part of the celebrations!
With local bands the Dominos and Dirty Sterling featuring during the evening, and a number of the players and staff returning to the event following the trophy parade, Friday becomes a true celebration of the club’s successes and the perfect way to end our 125th anniversary celebrations.
