The deal sees the 32-year-old extend his stay at the Attis Arena until the end of the 2025-26 season.
Evans joined the iron last summer following the expiry of his contract at the then National League outfit Boreham Wood. Joining with masses of experience, Evans had played a crucial part in the best defence in the National League for the Wood Army that season, and carried on his impressive form into his first year in claret and blue.
Alongside Maxim Kouogun and Andrew Boyce in the heart of the defence, Evans was ever consistent in the United side that pushed for promotion and made 38 appearances in all competitions and only missed out on making the clean sweep of appearances due to suspension.
Statistically, he won the second-most duals in the Vanarama National League North last season, just four behind first place, making 298 successful aerial combats across the campaign. Only Brackley Town's Gareth Dean was more successful.
Now with a well-deserved extension under his belt, Evans will be hoping to help take his Scunthorpe side one step further next campaign by gaining the aim of promotion back to the National League under the guidance of manager Andy Butler.
