Scunthorpe got their warm-up fixtures at the Attis Arena underway with the visit of National League team FC Halifax Town, winning 1-0 courtesy of a Carlton Ubaezuonu deflected strike.
Newly promoted League Two outfit Chesterfield will provide United's final pre-season test on Friday, August 2nd (7.30pm kick-off).
Season tickets holders in the Vertikal Stand have their seats reserved for all encounters until three hours before kick-off on the day of the game.
MORTZ STAND CLOSED FOR PRE-SEASON ENCOUNTERS
The Iron are closing the Mortz Property Services Stand for the pre-season friendlies against FC Halifax Town and Chesterfield.
The club has taken the decision to close the stand for the pre-season friendlies for operational reasons.
Any wheelchair disabled supporters will still be able to access tickets to the Mortz Stand.
