Our newly promoted opponents are coming off the back of losing their opening two games to Curzon Ashton and Southport. Needham Market netted the first goal of the match at home against Southport until the visitors overturned the scoreline in the second half to win 2-1, which saw ex-Iron striker Jamie Proctor bag the winner late on.
Last season, Needham Market won the Premier Division Central, with 85 points, with 50 of those came on home soil. Needham lost just twice at home, winning 16 of the 20 home games and drawing two, their only losses came at the end of the season in their last three games, after they were confirmed Champions. Needham will be looking to bring the home form from last season into this game as they look to pose a threat that the Iron need to prepare for.
A deadly attacking duo for Needham last season was Jamie McGrath and Luke Ingram, the pair got 30 goals between them last season and pushed their side to promotion. Both players are yet to get off the mark this season, but the qualities they hold is exigent.
