The Iron kick off a new era, hosting Brackley Town for the second time in a matter of weeks, this time in the Vanarama National League North (3pm kick-off).

IRON TEAM NEWS

Right-back Reagan Ogle is available for selection after overcoming his previous rib injury that he sustained against Buxton four weeks ago.

Will Evans was shown a second yellow against Chorley and has since served his one-match suspension hence meaning he will be eligible for today’s fixture.

In other news Jason Law has returned to training with the squad, whereas captain Michael Clunan and exciting winger Dion Sembie-Ferris’s injures mean that they are still unavailable for another couple of weeks.

Positive updates regarding Max Kouogun as his injury on further inspection has been deemed better than first anticipated meaning, he is only weeks away from being back in contention.

Finally, Alfie Beestin has suffered another setback with his injury meaning he will be out for another amount of weeks. Summer signing Callum Roberts is soon to see his protective boot removed allowing him to begin his rehabilitation process.

Brackley Town come into the game off the back of just one league win in six games, with their most recent victory coming at the start of September.

Since beating the Iron in the Emirates FA Cup, Brackley were knocked out of the competition by the other "Iron" in Braintree Town.
