On this day fact: Andy Flounders made his debut for the club in 1987, in a 3-1 home defeat to Cardiff, taking his familar No 10 shirt for the first time. He'd go on to make 236 appearances and score 99 goals between that time and the summer of 1991 when he left for Rochdale.

The Iron secured their first win in six games at the expense of Stockport to take them back into the play-off positions in League One back in 2009.

Winger Kevan Hurst scored the first from close range after he collected striker Gary Hooper's pass.

Hooper grabbed his 25th goal of the campaign when he rifled a right-footed shot past keeper Owain Fon Williams.

Stockport's goal came from the head of defender Michael Raynes who converted a free-kick from Michael Rose.
