The Iron return to action against Boreham Wood this weekend following the parting with first team manager Keith Hill and assistant manager Tony McMahon.

Academy manager Tony Daws will take on the role of interim first team manager, assisted by current goalkeeping coach Paul Musselwhite and former Iron defender Michael Nelson, who was most recently assistant manager at Hartlepool United.

IRON TEAM NEWS

Attacker Jordan Hallam (hamstring) and defender Kgosi Nthle (calf) remain absent, while Mason O'Malley (hamstring) will be assessed.

THE OPPOSITION

The Wood registered an emphatic 4-1 victory against National League new-commers Dorking Wanderers on Bank Holiday Monday. The Hertfordshire-based side sit seventh in the league with 11 points, picking up three wins and two draws in their opening six Vanarama National League fixtures.

Boreham Wood earnt promotion to the National League in the 2014-15 season, finishing runners-up in the Conference South. Three years later, the club achieved their best season to date, with a fourth-place finish. Starting the play-offs in the quarter-final stage, they beat AFC Fylde 2-1 and Sutton United 3-2, before going on to lose 2–1 to Tranmere Rovers in the Wembley Stadium Play-Off final.

THE OFFICIALS

The referee will be Garreth Rhodes, who will be assisted by Danny Jarvis and Martin Chester. The fourth official will be James Westgate.

MATCHDAY DETAILS

The ticket office and club shop open from 11:00am, with the Iron Bar shortly following at 11:30am where Everton vs Liverpool will be shown live. The car park will open at midday, where a £1 saving can be made (before 11am on matchday) by purchasing your spot in advance here. The Dominos will be providing live music outside the Iron Bar in the marquee, kicking-off their set at 1:45pm. Phat PatteezGrill will return alongside the marquee, providing a range of hot-food. We welcome Pizza de Angelo and Doughnut Dreams for the first time on Saturday too. The vendors will serve fresh traditional wood fired oven pizza and homemade doughnuts / cakes respectively. Additionally, the turnstiles are also open an hour-and-a-half before kick-off for fans wishing to enter the stadium.
