18 October 2022

Scunthorpe United Football Club would like to remind supporters about a zero-tolerance policy with regards to throwing objects, as well as the use and carrying of pyrotechnics.

Ensuring the safety of our supporters, players and staff is always of paramount importance to Scunthorpe United Football Club and the throwing of objects and lighting of pyrotechnics at football stadia is very dangerous and a serious offence. Any supporter identified to have committed such an act will be banned by the club and also subject to the possibility of criminal prosecution and football banning orders.

Scunthorpe United will continue to work closely with the police and football authorities to stamp out this, and other types, of spectator misconduct.

We would also like to remind supporters that if there are incidents of this nature reported, then the Football Association have the power to impose serious financial penalties on the club.

The club urges all supporters to assist us in this matter by reporting any incidents to the club and help us to eradicate this behaviour. If you see this during a match, please report to the nearest steward or email feedback@scunthorpe-united.co.uk.
