Martyn Woolford's late winner gave Scunthorpe a first win on the road in seven attempts and left struggling Preston second-bottom of the Championship On This Day in 2010.

Chris Dagnall's speculative low shot put the visitors ahead early on.

North End responded with two goals in six minutes after the break from defenders Craig Morgan and Billy Jones.

Michael O'Connor drew Scunthorpe level with a fine free-kick but, after Freddie Sears hit the post, Woolford met the rebound to snatch the winner.
