Daws said: "I'm disappointed we lost the game and if I'm honest, I don't think we deserved to lose. I thought we deserved to get something out of the game and it was a very good performance from our lads, and probably our best away display of the season.
"We more than matched an opposition who Wrexham have only scored more goals than, and they went to Solihull and scored three last week too.
"We came and gave a really good account of ourselves, and certainly deserved something. We were very unfortunate.
"Looking at the game there perhaps should have been a red card for one of their players, which changes the dynamics of the game and helps us. They're fine margins and I said to the players at the end though we're disappointed they should be pleased with the courage, application, hard work and effort put in. That's what we need going forward and I can't fault them today. We created a number of chances, we've just got to be more clinical in front of goal and if we do, we come away from here with three points.
"When their manager tells you you were the better team on the day, it gives you heart and we must continue in the same vein and get a result next week (at Wealdstone)."
