Scunthorpe United is pleased to have once again teamed up with the Iron Trust to provide supporters with the opportunity to donate to Scunthorpe Foodbank this Saturday ahead of the game against Harrogate Town.

Food collections can be left with the Scunthorpe Foodbank at the Iron Trust's usual corner (between the Britcon and East Stands) on the way into the stadium from 1.30pm.

Volunteers will also be present prior to the game holding a bucket collection to help raise money with both food and financial donations required to keep the foodbank running.

Scunthorpe Foodbank is a Trussell Trust foodbank run by local people for local people and rely on your goodwill and support to ensure they can continue to stop people from going hungry. They work with over 50 referring agencies to put emergency food supplies into the hands of those in crisis. Operating out of four distribution centres, their foodbank provides a generous three day supply of food to those referred to them. For more information about the Foodbank, click here.

If you would like to help, their most-needed items are tinned fruit, tinned hot meats, cooking sauces, packet snacks (for example Pot Noodles), long life full & semi-skimmed milk, custard and rice pudding.
