Scunthorpe United has once again received some excellent feedback from the first mystery shopper report as part of the EFL’s Family Excellence Scheme, which was carried out by an experienced assessor at the fixture against Forest Green Rovers back in October.
The highlights of the report saw near perfect marks awarded in the areas of first impressions, social media, travel, retail, people, friendliness and feeling valued, helping provide an overall recommendation score of 9 out of 10 (improving on 2019-20's 8.7) and putting the club second in League Two in terms of the family offering at the Sands Venue Stadium.
In summarising the overall experience, the assessor commented: “From the very start of the experience, it's clear that Scunthorpe United's growing reputation for family excellence is fully deserved. The website contains info on the matchday menu, the timetable, the family zone, the first-time fan experience, the opportunity for a first time 'shout out' (always a magic moment) and more. On the day itself, the club staff's warmness and willingness to help was one of the high points of the day.
Scunthorpe United’s Chief Executive, Leanne Mayo, said: “We are all committed to making the club family focussed and putting the Iron in the hearts of young Iron fans and their families. What a wonderful piece of feedback to receive to reward all of the staff who consistently work so hard to make the experience at every game special and memorable.”
