United suffered two injuries in quick succession during the game, with Josh Robertson (knee) and Ty Sellars-Fleming coming off during the match.
Harry Elliott-Bell also pulled out from the game due to illness.
Speaking about the 0-0, Professional Development Phase Coach Rob Watson said:"It was a 0-0 that felt like it was always going to be.
"To lose key players like we have (Nathaniel Wallace loan move to Farsley Celtic, injuries and the illness) made a difference.
"It was really tough conditions, on a horrible pitch, but I’m really pleased with the performance and just disappointed with the result.
“We had a number of chances, and it felt like they parked the bus a bit which we had to break down but overall, it was a positive performance which resulted in another clean sheet.”
