Preview: Bromley (A)

26 August 2022

The Iron are back in action on Saturday afternoon as they travel back down south to London, where they’ll face Bromley in the National League (3:00pm kick off).

United lost 4-3 to last season’s play-off finalists Solihull Moors last Saturday afternoon, despite a first half brace from Joe Nuttall, and Colin Daniel’s first goal of the season too. Keith Hill and the team will now look to regain confidence and get back on track as we make our way down to the capital.

Iron team news

Kgosi Nthle remains Hill’s only fresh doubt after being replaced at half time last weekend. The left-back is currently suffering a calf problem, with a scan imminent for the 28-year-old.

Attacker Jordan Hallam remains absent with a hamstring issue.

The opposition

Bromley sit eighth in the Vanarama National League on seven points out of a possible twelve. The Ravens registered back-to-back victories against Torquay United and Aldershot town in the past week, picking up a point at home to Altrincham beforehand.

Bromley won their first ever FA Trophy last season too. The Ravens beat teams Dover Athletic, Aldershot Town, Tonbridge Angels, Solihull Moors and York City before edging out a 1-0 victory against Wrexham at Wembley Stadium in May.
