IRON VICTORIOUS LAST SEASON AT HOME

Scunthorpe ended a run of five games without a win with a hard-earned 2-0 success over mid-table Bradford.
Goals in each half from Abo Eisa and Devarn Green earned the Iron the win, before they then shut up shop to frustrate the Bantams.
Eisa had already been denied by the fingertips of Bradford keeper Richard O'Donnell when he kept his cool to slot home in the fifth minute, finishing a flowing move that had started on the edge of the home penalty area.
City were also lively on the break and both Charles Vernam and Elliot Watt - from a 25-yard free-kick - were denied an equaliser by the woodwork.
Green passed up a great opportunity to double the hosts' lead before the break when O'Donnell saved low at his near post, but the Iron winger made no mistake in the 59th minute when charging into the box to lash home after Ryan Loft had headed down a deep cross.
Andy Cook poked an effort wide after creating a half-chance on the edge of the 18-yard box as Bradford tried to work a way back into the game.
TONEY AT THE DOUBLE BUT CROOKS WINS IT LATE ON

Matt Crooks headed a late winner as Scunthorpe edged a pulsating contest with Bradford live on Sky Sports in 2017.
The midfielder stole into the box to nod in from a right-wing corner in the 83rd minute to complete an impressive turnaround for the Iron, who had trailed 2-1 at the break.
Scunthorpe opened the scoring in the third minute, when the Bantams allowed Ivan Toney the time and space to smash the ball home at the far post.
The visitors, though, turned the game on its head in the space of two minutes, with Kevin Toner heading in from a free-kick with 14 minutes gone and Alex Jones finding the bottom corner moments later.
Toney produced a clever bicycle kick from the corner of the six-yard box to lob the home side on to level terms three minutes after the restart, before Crooks gave his side the lead.
A see-saw contest almost took a final twist in stoppage time but City hit the bar from a corner, ensuring the Iron claimed the points.
