The 22-year-old pens a new two-year deal to extend his stay at the Sands Venue Stadium.
He's made 23 appearances so far since signing in 2019, and scored on his debut against Rochdale in March of that year.
The former Sheffield United man netted the decisive goal in our home win over Carlisle United last September, and also fired in an important late equaliser when we drew 1-1 at home to Oldham Athletic in March.
He told iFollow Iron: "I want to kick on this year and next. When I did play last season, I feel like I did affect the games and I can't wait to get going.
"I’m looking forward to pre-season. It’s always tough and it needs to be so we're raring to go for the start of the season. I'll be looking to get a good level of fitness in and hit the ground running.
"Hopefully I can help the side in any way that I can, and we can really kick on as a team."
Hallam has spent time at St George's Park this summer, working on his fitness, and continued: "I did a lot of physical work and running, as well as gym-based stuff and testing to get a base and find out where my weaknesses are to try and improve them.
"I felt it was very beneficial and we're putting a programme together to rectify any of those and to keep myself fit and available for selection."
