ICYMI: Pre-season home tickets now on sale

19 July 2021

With the current national restrictions set to be eased on July 19th, the club fully expect to be able to welcome spectators back to Sands Venue Stadium for the three home pre-season friendlies in July.

Please note, there will be no cash turnstiles open for these friendlies with supporters having to purchase tickets online via www.sufctickets.com or by visiting our ticket office, which will be open until kick-off for each matchday.

Tickets for the Iron’s three pre-season home friendlies are on-sale for home supporters only from Thursday 8th July with pricing information as follows, including a discounted offer if you purchase a ticket for all three home pre-season fixtures.

United host Burton Albion on Tuesday, July 20th (7.30pm kick-off), before welcoming Hull City four days later (3pm kick-off). The final game in the bundle is a visit from Lincoln City on July 27th (kick-off 7.30pm).

Restaurant packages are also available for each game, with price details and menus available via the links below.

Given the current scenario, tickets will initially be sold in a socially distanced manner with appropriate gaps left in between tickets sold as set out by current guidance, although with government lockdown restrictions set to be lifted on July 19th, we hope this will not be necessary and restrictions will be relaxed. As soon as this is confirmed, the socially distanced seating will be removed, although an area will be provided for those supporters who wish to attend, but in a socially distanced seating arrangement.

The Iron’s CEO, Leanne Mayo, commented: “Everyone at the football club is very excited at the prospect of seeing fans back in the stadium after such a long absence. The operations team are working incredibly hard on a number of different scenarios to welcome fans back to the stadium, and there are still some unknowns around the lifting of restrictions. We are however very confident that we’ll be able to welcome supporters back for these games and it will be great for supporters to be able to watch live football once again.

“Discussions are ongoing with our local Safety Advisory Group and we will of course be guided by the Government as to exact measures that will be required for these fixtures, all of which will be confirmed in due course.”

Away supporters will not be able to purchase a ticket for the Burton Albion fixture as the club will use the fixture to test the operational procedures on home supporters only at first. Tickets for the away end are available for the games against Hull and Lincoln City and should be booked in advance of the game through Scunthorpe United channels.

Tickets are available online at www.sufctickets.com, or they can be purchased over the phone or in person from the ticket office during the new opening hours, 10am – 4pm during the week, with the exception of Wednesday’s when it is closed.

Please note that tickets purchased online are E-tickets so will be print at home or scan from mobile only or season ticket holders/Iron Members can load onto their season cards by selecting membership card as the delivery option.

As present, the Executive Seats will be unavailable for spectators at the friendly matches. The Executive Lounge will be open for no extra charge, depending on regulations.

East Stand car parking can also be purchased online in advance through the ticket system priced at £4 per car.

The Sands Venue Stadium will be a cashless stadium with card and contactless payments only with further details to follow.

While we fully expect to be able to welcome supporters back to the stadium, should the situation change and these games are unable to take place with spectators due to covid restrictions imposed on the club, then a full refund will be given.
