Important information ahead of Lincoln City friendly

27 July 2021

Ahead of the home pre-season friendly against Lincoln City, supporters are reminded that on matchdays the Sands Venue Stadium will be operating as a cashless stadium for the 2021/22 season.

Only credit/debit card and smartphone payment methods will be accepted as a form of payment via the concourse refreshment kiosks, hospitality facilities, ticketing booths, car park stewards, Iron Bar, ticket office and club shop.

Offering a much-improved and more speed efficient experience for all visitors to the Sands Venue Stadium, the club no longer accepting coins and notes as payment on matchdays will also help with ensuring the health and safety of supporters and staff members.

Please note, there will be no cash turnstiles open for the pre-season friendlies with supporters having to purchase tickets online via www.sufctickets.com, by visiting our ticket office, which will be open until kick-off for each matchday, or from the corner ticket booth between the Britcon and East Stands.

There will be a selection of hot food on sale from the refreshment kiosks for the Lincoln friendly, and we will have hot drinks, cold drinks and cold snacks available to buy.

Supporters can book a parking space in advance by clicking here. Otherwise, supporters can pay by card to a car park steward on the approach into the stadium. Fans can make a £1 saving by buying before 4.45pm on matchday though.

There will be no digital matchday programme or 50/50 half-time draw for the friendly fixtures. We can confirm there will be a free downloadable programme with a smaller number of pages than previously and Junior Iron supplement for our younger fans for home league fixtures though.

The Iron Bar will be open for the game from 5.30pm, with the turnstiles opening at 6.30pm.

Supporters are encouraged to wear a face covering when attending upcoming matches at the Sands Venue Stadium. There will be hand sanitiser available at various points around the stadium and proof of double vaccination or a negative test is not required at this stage.

Finally, please note due to the present Covid-19 situation, the players are unable to sign autographs and pose for pictures with supporters at this moment in time.

If any supporters have any queries, please email feedback@scunthorpe-united.co.uk.
