Fans' Panel applications open

7 July 2021

The Iron are pleased to announce details of the Fans’ Panel which will be another way for supporters to help improve the football club’s off-field operations.

Similar to the Supporters’ Forum which had been in operation in the past, the revised format will give fans the opportunity to represent their fellow supporters at regular meetings with the club’s senior management team to provide feedback and discuss off-field matters.

United’s Chief Executive Officer Leanne Mayo said: “We are pleased to bring another format for supporter communication and consultation, which will be in addition to the Official Supporters’ Club Board Meetings which the Directors introduced at the beginning of the year.

“The appointed members of this Fans’ Panel will have a remit to provide a regular channel of communication and consultation between the club and supporter base as we continue to strive to improve for the benefit of all supporters.”

Supporters are able to apply to be on the panel with meetings held on the morning of selected matchdays over the course of the season.

Applicants must be willing to be public facing and prepared to act as a means of communication for the fans they represent, happy to bring forward complaints, compliments or recommendations to each meeting as well as feedback information to their representative group.

We are looking for representation from a cross-section of our supporter base and would welcome representation for the following groups:

> Season Ticket Holder
> Iron Member
> Easy Buy Stand User (West Stand)
> East Stand User
> Britcon Stand User (Terrace)
> Lincolnshire Co-op Family Zone User
> Executive Member/Box Holder/Restaurant User
> Official Away Coach Travel User
> Supporter from the BAME community
> Disabled Supporter
> Distant Supporter

Supporters interested in applying for one of these positions should complete the application form HERE before July 31st. The first meeting is scheduled to take place ahead of the Tranmere Rovers home fixture on August 28th with the following provisional dates for the season.

Saturday August 28th (Tranmere Rovers)
Saturday October 16th (Forest Green Rovers)
Saturday December 18th (Bristol Rovers)
