The 23-year-old was left frustrated with the 3-0 loss, saying: “I’m very disappointed, especially to concede another three goals - it’s not ideal. The main thing really is frustration.
“We have shown a little bit of how we were very earlier on in the season, which we thought we had ironed out as we have been hard to beat and to score past up to recently. We've let ourselves slip a little bit in that sense in the last few games. Hopefully we can put that right and go strong until the end of the season."
He added: “I felt good to be back (from injury). But in the same breath, I’m very disappointed that we lost. No matter if I played, or I didn’t play, we still lost the game. No one wants a 3-0 loss, but we have just got to take it on the chin and move on.
“I think strikers have these games. It’s hard to get service and momentum going forward when we have conceded an early goal, you’re on the backfoot straight away and that gives them confidence and means they're more at it. I can do more, it comes with rhythm as well, (the injuries in the squad and volume of matches means) chopping and changing, and we have got to get used to how each other play."
With four games left of the season, Loft is confident the Iron will bounce back. He said: “The last three games we have conceded ten goals, which is similar to what we were like at the beginning of the season. Our main aim would be to try and concede as few goals as possible.
“We will try and win the last four, and try to finish the season a little bit higher, and give the fans something to be happy about going into next year. All we can do is think about Saturday (vs Walsall) now and get ready for that.”
