The agreement sees Easy Buy strengthen their partnership with the Iron in a two-year deal. As a result, the West Stand will now be known as the “Easy Buy Stand”.
Easy Buy was formed in 2007 in Hull and they sell a wide range of household goods including home appliances, televisions, furniture, and high street vouchers. Easy Buy originally operated as a weekly payment company offering its customers flexible payment plans to pay for their products. Since then, the company has gone from strength-to-strength, expanding into North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire, and having undergone a rebrand in 2020. Customers now have a choice to pay for any of their products up front or on flexible payment plans to suit customers’ budgets.
Easy Buy have been present at the Sands Venue Stadium for a number of years through their sponsorship of the half-time draw, the 12th Man and advertising boards on the Britcon Stand & AMS Stand.
Iron Chief Executive, Leanne Mayo said: “We are delighted that our valued sponsor, Easy Buy, can be confirmed as the West Stand sponsor for the next two seasons. Easy Buy have shown fantastic commitment and support for the club and we hope that the partnership can continue to grow. All at the club are excited for the Easy Buy Stand to be open for fans to watch the Iron as soon as possible, under the Government’s roadmap.”
Managing Director of Easy Buy, Mark Gregory said: “I’m delighted to be able to continue our sponsorship of Scunthorpe United, now on a larger scale. We have had a long-lasting relationship with the club, having sponsored the half-time draw for a few years now, and long may that continue. I would like to wish the Iron all the best and here’s hoping for a successful season.”
