The Bournemouth midfielder is with us for the season, and has spoken about how he's settled in with United.
He said: "I've enjoyed it so far. Pre-season has been hard work but we've all been pulling together and I'm just buzzing for the season to start really. This Saturday will be a good start.
"We haven't played a proper competitive game in so long so it will be a buzz to get back into it.
"Port Vale are an experienced side and it will be a tough test for us. They have a strong squad and it will be good to see where we're at. It will be a good fixture.
"The friendlies were tough and all about getting the match sharpness really. Watford (last weekend) was a great test for us but also a good confidence boost because we held our own against a good Championship side. It was a good experience for a lot of us.
"Coming up against players who have been in the top flight was a privilege and a reminder of what we're working towards really."
Fellow Bournemouth man Tyler Cordner has joined on loan, and Vincent believes the centre-back has a lot to offer the squad.
He said: "That was a great signing for us because he has a lot of quality and I'm buzzing he's down here because he's a good lad and will bring lots to the group."
Moving onto Vincent's aspirations for the season, the 21-year-old former Torquay loanee continued: "I definitely want to score this season. I haven't scored a career goal yet so that's a target of mine. More importantly, I want to be part of a team that does well. We're a young team but if we all pull together and work well, we have quality.
"I got a few assists last season so maybe I do need to shoot more but I'm a positive player who likes to go forward."
